It’s a movement rooted in compassion, shaped by lived experience, and inspired by two very special cats.
How OM Pets Started
OM Pets began with Maria — a lifelong animal lover, veterinary nurse, and devoted cat mum to Mochi and Nova. Since the age of 16, Maria has lived a compassionate lifestyle, choosing to stop eating animals. After all, veterinary nursing is all about helping animals live well and thrive.
But when it came to feeding her own cats, something didn’t sit right. She started to question what was really in their food — and whether there could be a healthier and nutritionally complete alternative.
Her journey led to months of research, careful food trials, and consultations with vets and nutritionists. What started as a quiet search for better options soon grew into something more, a connection to a wider shift in how we care for animals and the planet.
This journey may be new in name, but it’s part of something that’s been growing for decades. It begins with a simple truth: to be truly human is to show empathy and respect for all living beings.
